Kate Jackson Interior Design mixes unpretentious period furniture with easy contemporary pieces, tied together by neutral palettes of soft colors, simple fabrics, and bold accents. Kate’s approach differs from other designers in that she has the unique ability to seamlessly meld the old with the new. She creates interesting and thoughtful living spaces using furniture discovered at estate sales and local antique shops complemented by stylish accessories found anywhere from eBay to high-end New York boutiques. This juxtaposition creates a welcoming home that reflects each client’s individual taste and style. The result is a tailored, modern departure from predictable clichés of New England homes.
Kate’s design practice is featured along the east coast in elegant urban residences in New York,Providence and Boston, as well as in casual weekend retreats from Watch Hill to Newport County. She has also designed model showrooms for commercial projects including loft spaces in restored mills and contemporary high rises.
Kate resides in her home state of RI with her husband Bryce and their daughter Stella.
